Do you have a memory of steal or do you have post-it notes everywhere?
My friend and I went on our weekly walk and talk last week, and chatted about how I have been a little more forgetful lately. She shared with me how she has noticed but it hasn't been anything significant. Maybe forgetting a detail or two about something she has told me in previous conversations. She also confirmed I may be a little "all over the place" when it comes to scheduling myself and keeping my life afloat. Of course, I took this all in stride because I am well aware of this happening.
In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of life, it is easy to forget things. It is not because we purposefully do it but it can happen. There are times when I feel like I should be doing something but never can quite put my finger on what it is. It has lead me to be better about writing myself a note, putting it in my planner and/or in my phone with maybe 2 or 3 alerts.
Then I also get to thinking, is it really necessary to schedule so much and be so occupied with all the things? Maybe we need to not be living off of planners, schedules and post-it notes. I think we would all be more focused and present in our own lives if we didn't think we had to be everywhere or do everything all at once.
When we are always in a hurry or always on a tight schedule, we are missing out on time to slow down and focus. It's the free time we really need so we truly are not forgetting things.
