Can you count the number of things you have started and finished or not finished?
It all starts with a great idea. You're lying in bed one night, feeling inspired and you decide in that moment you are going to make this happen. You close your eyes with confidence and are motivated to achieve this new goal. The next morning, it still feels good. You write down a few notes over your morning coffee and start your day. The day goes by, you're back in bed and realized you didn't have time to work out the details but will get to it tomorrow. Morning comes, you spill your coffee and realize you are running late, with full intention to get details down on paper. Back in bed annnnd repeat. Before you know it, it's a month from that thrilling idea night and the plan is now on hold. Because you know, life.
There is no time limit to setting a goal and achieving it. Throughout the process, you must remember the goal and accept the length of time it may take you to make it happen.
This will apply to all the things. Painting a wall in your home, growing your hair out, writing a story, creating an online program, being in all kinds of relationships, fixing a crack in your concrete patio (this is totally me right now), saving money, living your health journey...you get the hint.
Creating a plan is the first step, realizing it will be a process is the second step. Don't give up on you and don't give up on the plan. It will be worth it and no one likes quitters anyway, especially ourselves.
