Eating Your Way...Too Much?

Yes, life gets busy. Food becomes more of a quick stop instead of a fuel stop. We lose sight that we should be eating to live and not living to eat.

As a dietitian, I have heard it all. People come to me wanting more information on how to eat healthier, but easy and cost effectively. Many believe it cannot be done. But it can!  It just takes a little work, especially planning.

If you find yourself going through the drive-thru, eating a bag of chips over the kitchen sink, or popping in a frozen pizza more often than preparing a balanced meal, it is time to look at a makeover.  You can eat healthy your way, but not too much.

Measure your waist. Is it more than 35 inches for women or 40 inches for men?  When your waist is over these inches, you are at risk for multiple health concerns:  diabetes, heart disease and stroke, just to name a few. Use this tool to get yourself re-focused on real food and your health.

A dietitian is here to help. We can help you navigate the MyPlate Method for meal planning and help provide you with recipes/meal plans to get you back on track.

It is time for you to celebrate National Nutrition Month as your new favorite holiday!  It is time to Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day!
