Today was an eventful day. I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of a neighborhood wellness initiative in the Grays Lake area of Des Moines. It is amazing how it "takes a village" when it comes to health and wellness. I feel very lucky to be a dietitian in this effort. Also it was great to see residents willingness to partake in the health of their families and neighbors.
I was also the guest of Mya Emick's 1st Birthday party. It was refreshing to see the beginning of a beautiful little girls life and wishes for many more to come.
