This week, I have been going to a few local libraries and having a cooking class with tweens and teens. I found this amazing smoothie recipe that is packed with protein and is very refreshing. (if you like orange julius or dreamsicles, it is a must try!)
Protein Orange Splash
2 cups fat-free milk
1-6 ounce container of Hy-Vee Plain Greek yogurt
2 scoops of Vanilla Healthy Whey protein powder
1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract
6 ounces of frozen orange juice concentrate
Ice cubes as desired
Blend all ingredients together in a blender. Makes 4 - 8 ounce portions.
Freeze extras in baggies.
