With every changing season in the midwest, it seems there is also many personal changes as well. I know many of you think the first of the year is the time for resolutions, new goals and aspirations in your life. But why not start now? Why not "fall" into some new goals? It's a great time of year to start exercising! The snow is not here yet and some warm clothes, a stocking hat and a new pair of tenni's could start invigorating your days as they get shorter. Changes of mood also shift with seasons and more "gloom" can hit in the fall. Exercise is the perfect way to beat the blues and keep your mood on the more positive side.

At the start of the day, put a healthy eye of round roast in a slow cooker with halved potatoes, a bag of baby carrots, a sliced medium onion and a container of low sodium beef stock (16 oz). Put the slow cooker on low and you will have a home full of warm and comforting flavors after your mood enhancing walk at the end of a beautiful fall day.
