When choosing milk and the importance of Vitamin D, I think sometimes consumes are a little confused with the differences in Vitamin D milk and the rest.
Guess what? The ONLY difference in nutrient content is fat!
Vitamin D milk and whole milk are the same product. Vitamin D milk has the same amount of actual Vitamin D as whole, 1%, 2% and skim.
So skip the fat and go for a skim or 1% milk. There is 8 grams of fat difference between a 8 ounce glass of whole/Vitamin D milk versus a 8 ounce glass of skim milk.
AND....skim milk has all the same nutrients, vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin D.
I think I will go and enjoy a glass of fat-free liquid sunshine!
